Moondance Musik

founder Steve Salvari has had an eclectic and interesting career. Starting out by playing in 80’s pop star Lene Lovich’s band before she was famous and moving on to be one of the founders of Brit Funk legends Central Line. He has worked with a wide variety of artists from Robert Palmer to Barry White and was musical director for the prestigious Sickle Cell Gala which saw him lead the band behind such luminaries as Billy Ocean, Lulu, Chaka Khan, The Pasadenas & Omar to name a few.

In the studio he played keys on some of the Libertines early tracks and laid keyboards down for Robert Palmer, Sheena Easton, Natalie Cole, Donnie Osmond (yes that’s right, Donnie Osmond!) Monie Love & Ruby Turner amongst others.

Steve also appeared in a variety of TV shows back in the day which included Top of the Pops, Wogan & Motormouth amongst many more. Moving into production, he founded Moondance Musik which led him to work with Acid Jazz, Concept Music & Shalit Management. He wrote & produced successful albums Changing Times & Set Your Spirit Free for the Japanese market under his Headquarters banner. He produced six tracks on soul singer Chidi’s number two UK Soul chart album Exhale, co-writing four of them and remixed ex Zero 7 vocalist Moses track Broken Toy which was very well received.

Steve is always looking for new projects.

Here’s an additional roster of some of the people he’s worked with: Aswad, Caron Wheeler, Loose Ends, Jonathan Butler, Lenny Henry, Errol Brown, Mica Paris, Kenny Thomas, Desree, Pino Palladino……..
